#1 Holland Scholarships

Funded by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture, and Science, this scholarship program is targeted towards students who are from countries outside the European Economic Area. Students who wish to do their bachelor’s or masters in the Netherlands can apply for these scholarships.

A specific amount is provided to the scholarship holders in their first year of studies in the Netherlands and can be availed only once. #2 Erasmus+ Netherlands Scholarship

This program by the European Union aims to promote student mobility through traineeships and scholarships in program countries. The scholarships provided by Erasmus+ are applicable for 3 to 12 months.

They are provided to students from the partner and program countries of Erasmus+. As the Netherlands is also a part of the program, so certain universities in the country participate in the Erasmus+ program actively.

#3 Orange Tulip Scholarships

These scholarships are granted to students in Neso (Netherlands Education Support Office) countries such as Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, Korea, Vietnam, Mexico, and Russia. These scholarships are offered by higher education institutes, multinationals, and government organizations.

Students can apply for these scholarships for listed study programs in Dutch Universities associated with this scheme only. Although the scholarship varies among universities, generally a 20% to 100% tuition fee discount or only monthly living cost is provided through the scholarship scheme.

#4 Orange Knowledge Scholarships Program

This program is financed by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Its aim is to create sustainable development through capacity building and knowledge of individuals and organizations. The program provides scholarships for short courses of 2 to 12 months and master’s programs.

Scholarships through the program are applicable only to listed courses and only students from certain countries can apply. #5 MENA Scholarships Program

This scholarship program is meant for short courses in the Netherlands. The main aim of the program is the capacity building of professionals and strengthening the relationship between participating countries and the Netherlands. Only professionals nominated by employers can get these scholarships in the Netherlands.

The program is applicable to professionals living and working in the participating countries only. Also, the scholarships are not meant for professionals working in companies that have their own means of capacity development among staff.

#6 NN Future Matters Scholarships

This is not only a scholarship program but a mentorship program as well. This is ideal for those students who need mentoring to get admission and study in the Netherlands. Scholarship holders are provided a certain amount in installments.

The scholarships are meant for students from certain countries only and applicable for master’s programs in the Netherlands.

#7 Sino-Dutch Scholarships

This is a Dutch-Chinese scholarship program meant for Chinese 3rd-year bachelor, master, or Ph.D. students who want to study in the Netherlands for at least one year. These scholarships are offered by the ministries of education in the People’s Republic of China and the Netherlands.

Scholarship holders are provided a fixed amount towards the cost of their studies and research in the Netherlands.

#8 StuNed Scholarships

These scholarships are meant for Indonesians who wish to study in the Netherlands. The main aim of these scholarships in the Netherlands is to improve the quality of Indonesian human resources. They are provided for master’s, short courses, and customized training programs. Indonesians with 2 years of work experience in a development organization can apply.

#9 Amsterdam Talent Scholarships

This scholarship program is by the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences and aims to attract the best talent from around the world to the university. It is awarded to non-EEA students who have gotten admission in one of the university’s programs.

Through the scholarship, students get 50% of their tuition fees. Students have to achieve a certain average grade with minimum credits and pay institutional fees in order to be eligible for the scholarship.

#10 Utrecht Excellence Scholarships

These scholarships are provided to the top 10% of students of graduating classes at Utrecht University. However, only non-EEA and EU students can benefit from these scholarships.

In order to be eligible, students must have completed high school and/or bachelor’s from outside the Netherlands.

The Utrecht scholarships cover tuition fees or tuition fees and living expenses. It is not a full scholarship so students must look for funding for their studies.
